"Sebelius, Tiller, the Senate on Trial" by Lou Engle
When at an abortion clinic in Miami, a living-breathing baby is born out of a blotched abortion and the baby is thrown alive into a plastic bag, the nation is appalled and the doctor is charged with two felonies and potential prison time.
However, if that very same abortion performed on the baby had not been blotched, the doctor would have gone home in peace having kindly terminated a women’s fetal inconvenience. What white-washed insanity!
Today we are facing another such insanity! President Obama has recently appointed Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas to the highest health care post in America, the Secretary of Health.
She is a woman whom as governor of Kansas has vigorously vetoed restrictions against late-term abortions that are performed on babies from 6th-9th months therefore protecting one of the most prolific abortion doctors in America, Dr. George Tiller from Wichita. His practice has overseen the abortion of over 60,000 babies. People have come from all over the world to Wichita, Kansas to have his skilled hands kill their 6th -9th month old pre-born babies and then have been offered chaplain services in which they can dedicate their dead babies to God. The remains of the small infants are incinerated and the wretched incense ascends to heaven from the smokestack of Tillers Auschwitz-like death chamber.
Not only has Governor Sebelius walked in political collusion with him, but has dined with him in the governors mansion and has received major funding for her democratic gubernatorial association from his extraordinarily lucrative death business. Dr. Tiller’s wealth comes mainly from his expertise in the abortion of pre-born babies in their 6th-9th month of gestation. Why has Sebelius vetoed bills that would have stopped Tiller’s history of malpractice, including one bill that would require Tiller to present medical justifications for all his late-term abortions (SB 389, titled the Comprehensive Abortion Reform Act) and another that would enable prosecution or prevent illegal late-term abortions? It is very obvious when you see the funding stream from George Tiller’s lucrative death business to the political coffers of Governor Sebelius, $12,450 personally given from him and his wife and $120,000 from Tiller donated to the Democratic Governors Association in 2006. Interestingly, $200,000 from that same Democratic Governors Association went to a political action committee that Sebelius controls. She vetoed Bill HB2176 that would have demanded abortion clinics to attain to required health standards. She also voted to lesson restrictions on parental notification and informed consent.
Now, extraordinarily and providentially, Governor Sebelius senate confirmation hearings will be held this week just prior to Tiller’s court case where he is being charged with 19 counts of illegal late-term abortions.
Do you see it? Justice is shouting to the nation! What the Kansas-Nebraska Act was to slavery, being the turning point that fueled the Civil War, so now this present “Bleeding Kansas” could be another flash point to subpoena the conscience of the whole nation in this civil war over the horror of late-term abortions. Oh, the irony of it all! Tiller is being tried for criminal wrongdoing, and Governor Sebelius who has sought to protect him from prosecution is heralded as a champion of health care, as the US Senate will almost certainly confirm her. Why should an abortion doctor be found guilty for criminal activity and a governor who has done everything to cover and protect that crime be exalted? Was it only the Auschwitz death camp workers who were guilty of killing the Jews or were the political leaders who sanctioned it guilty as well? The answer is obvious to anyone who has a moral heart.
It’s amazing that these two trials, both coming out of Kansas, will be held virtually at the same time for the whole nation to see. Maybe in these two hearings America is really the one being brought to the high court of eternal justice and it is the nation’s conscience that is on trial. The President has already been found guilty for appointing this extreme pro-choice Sebelius. It seems probable to me that the Senate will be found guilty as well as they confirm her to the Secretary of Health position. Though I am certain that many senators will not compromise their convictions and not vote to confirm her. But maybe, just maybe, the American people will have eyes to see this most amazing juxtaposition of these two hearings and will be confronted with the appalling reality that in the heartland of America nine-month pre-borns can be legally killed. Maybe we will begin to break into sorrow as we see how far we have fallen as a nation.
Governor Kathleen Sebelius has shown her brazen support of late-term abortion in condoning the death of 6th-9th month old human beings. These new lives, if given a chance and having been born in this moment would live with breathe in their own lungs! This is the woman who is being placed over Health Care in America.
My heart breaks for this nation and I wonder what can be its end.
Thomas Jefferson wrote, “Indeed I tremble for my country when I consider God is just, and His justice will not sleep forever.”
PLEASE CALL YOUR SENATORS and plead with them not to confirm Governor Sebelius and begin to raise a voice of conscience or we will all be found guilty.
