Blast From The Past

By Ian Kelly

In my never-ending quest for great and amazing quotes, I stumbled upon this one:

That only a few, under any circumstances, protest against the injustice of long-established laws and customs, does not disprove the fact of the oppressions, while the satisfaction of the many, if real only proves their apathy and deeper degradation.

- Elizabeth Cady Stanton

Now being as I am a pro-life guy working for a pro-life organization I needed to know exactly what Ms. Stanton thought of abortion, being as she was a leader in women’s rights and suffrage.

After a little digging I found this quote from Ms. Stanton:

"When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit."

And in a Feb. 5th 1868 addition of the feminist newspaper called “The Revolution” she classified abortion as a form of "infanticide."

Bottom line: Justice does not regulate itself to popular opinion. Nor does it depend on the rich and famous to procure its enactment. As history has shown us justice will prevail. Abortion will end.
