Cold-Hearted And Unreasonable?

By Ian Kelly

I'm stumped. It wasn't but a week ago that people who opposed health care legislation, because of abortion funding, were being called ignorant, cold-hearted and unreasonable.

The attacks basically had the same tone to them. We were unreasonable because we could not set aside our difference of opinion on abortion and think of the greater good. We were told to consider not only abortion but the millions of uninsured people who are struggling without health care. We were the bad guys. How dare we oppose such legislation. Of course, that was when everything was going according to plan.

Now, however, abortion funding has been prohibited and guess what's going on?! (Yeah, I think you know where I'm going here.) The same people that told the pro-life community to put aside differences and not oppose health care legislation are now the ones OPPOSING health care legislation!

Tax-payer funded abortion got the boot and so now the millions who are struggling without health care have been kicked to the curb, apparently.

Honestly, the pro-abortion community is doing the same thing that the pro-life community did in opposing health care.

I'm not saying Planned Parenthood needs to apologize or admit some kind of wrong... All I'm saying is the pro-abortion folk need to stop being so fickle! It's ridiculous that we were told to look past the abortion issue, for the sake of the greater good, yet now that the tables are turned, Planned Parenthood refuses to support HR 3962. Figures.
