When Men Were Men

A friend of mine, Levi Bethune, tweeted this earlier today:

"So tired of commercials that portray husbands & fathers as idiots. Men with backbones still exist."

Let's be honest, what both the Pro-LIFE movement and our nation needs is for men to simply be men. Real Men.

    great job Ian… wow is all i can say this should have come from the christian community but leave it up to the world to tell us exactly waht we know & have been too aftaid to say!(atleast everone has not been screaming this.. this is truth we need a change!!)
    I pray that A shift comes quickly & grip the hearts of men all over the Usa that they would know who they are & created to be n Christ Jesus our Lord.. that they would start to take a stand for their families, justice & truth. Oh God raise up men that will pray, teach , & lives lives that honor & glorify your son!

    Good post. The culture is starting to feel the repercussions of contorting the gender roles and therefore is wanting to get back to the way it should be. It’s our job to step in and show them Jesus in the midst of all this. Jesus was the greatest example of a man. He was the greatest leader and the greatest servant. the epitome of manliness.

    100%. This has been the enemies strategy all along because he knows that men are the carriers of identity in a generation. It is the man that speaks identity into a child. With a lack of men fulfilling their roles and the consequent lack of identity in the next generation, we now have a generation of the most insecure young men ever!, who cannot stand up to peer pressure, take responsibility or stand up for righteousness. Everything is compromise in order to be accepted. This new age feminization of the man is an abomination. It’s against the natural order of things. Men were created to have dominion and to rule – rulership is through responsibility and servanthood! Serve God, serve your family and serve your community, and own your responsibilities. But a man cannot do that if he has no affirmation from a father who can tell him who he is. We must Pray for an Identity Revolution so that the men of this generation will be rocked with the ID of Jesus and the Father heart of God!

    This has the power of a two-edged sword! Absolutely mighty. May it unlock something in the hearts of men to be again who they are made to and meant to be. No more boys and their toys, but “Arise, Mighty men of Valor!” I Love It!
