"To each group we explained what contraception was; that abortion was the wrong way—no matter how early it was performed it was taking life; that contraception was the better way, the safer way—it took a little time, a little trouble, but was well worth while in the long run, because life had not yet begun.” (Margaret Sanger, An Autobiography. New York: W. W. Norton. pp. 217.)

Margaret Sanger was the Founder of Planned Parenthood. Her even thinking that abortion was the ending of a human life no matter how early it is performed flies in the face of what Planned Parenthood says today!

Wow! I have read so much on Sanger and have never read this! This is insane! She is actually admitting to the taking of a life. I wonder when her understanding of the reality of life was clouded? If you think about it though, this aligns with the mindset of eugenics. In the eyes of eugenics, it would be wisdom to recommend the use contraceptions to certain people instead of abortions. Because it leaves no room for any babies that she would consider “unift” to be born.
