  The Washington Times has some thing to say about Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli and his recent victory in keeping Virginia’s challenge to Obamacare alive and kicking.

   

  Speaking of Obamacare, LifeNews.com sites a recent Rasmussen poll that shows 57 percent of likely voters are opposed to the new Health Care law.

   

  Another win for adult stem cell research: A 19-year-old British girl has had a new windpipe created from her own stem cells in a surgical breakthrough.

   

  A complaint has been filed, with the US Supreme Court, to disbar Elena Kagan for falsifying her ACOG/partial birth testimony.

• Man Arrested For Praying At Abortion Clinic (Video)

  In yesterday’s Daily Reads I posted a link to a Fox News story about a man who was arrested for praying outside an abortion clinic in Chicago. According to a spokesperson for the police department the man, Joseph Holland, was arrested for "blocking the entrance."

  From the Fox News report:

  Chicago police spokesman Roderick Drew told FoxNews.com that, according to the report, Holland "stood within an inch of the victim, prayed out loud at a high volume for over 10 minutes" but ultimately got arrested for blocking the entrance. [emphasis mine]

• “She’s Having A Fetus”

  Joe Carter, from First Thoughts, has posted a story entitled, "She’s Having A Fetus." The narrative is a little to close to reality. You read it and think to yourself that there’s no way anyone really thinks like this… then reality breaks in — people do actually think like this:

  Overheard at a local shopping mall:

  Jan: “Marsha! How are you girl? I haven’t seen you in ages.”

  Marsha: “Hey Jan, you’re looking great. How’ve you been?”

  Jan: “Just peachy. Hey, guess what? I’m going to have a fetus!”

  Marsha (excited): “That’s wonderful! Oh, I’m so happy for you. Isn’t it a blessing having parasites growing in us?”

• Adopting From Foster Care: Earning Their Smiles

  Christina and Carl are parents to 2 active little boys. They adopted them through state foster care 3 years ago. I’ve known C for a several years and have watched as she has given herself to seeing her sons learn love and family.

  JC: Give me a verbal picture of your current family.

  CB: Mom and Dad, two incredible boys, 4 (he’ll be 5 in 3 weeks) and 6 1/2, three cats and an awesome 14 year old dog.

  JC: Let’s back up a few years. Talk a little, if you want, about the IF process and the timing, and then why and when you started considering adoption.

  CB: We started trying to conceive in 2003. In 2005, our Reproductive Endocrinologist told us our only real option was IVF-ICSI. God provided, we went for it and ended up with two beautiful embryos and a negative result. Our next cycle was an IUI and I got pregnant. We ended up moving soon after and I miscarried the week we moved. We tried for 6 more cycles when I just couldn’t take the drugs.  I’m not made to be a druggie, apparently.

  Carl had agreed to go to ONE adoption meeting. When we left he said "No way.  I will NEVER raise someone else’s child." Never say never!

• Full Senate Set to Vote on Kagan

  A full-Senate debate and vote on confirming Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court is set for this week. The vote will pretty much fall right along the Democrat/Republican divide with a handful crossing the party lines. This is after that fact that it was discovered how Kagan manipulated and falsified testimony from ACOG concerning Partial-Birth Abortion; something that I thought would have been an ethical disqualification. It would seem that it may have been a prophetic sign in April when the Supreme Court’s front doors were permanently closed for entry. You can no longer enter the land’s High Court under the chiseled words "Equal Justice Under Law." Instead, everyone must choose to enter the Court at doors located on either the "left" or "right" side of the building.

  Senator Jeff Sessions, who led Republican opposition in Committee, has issued a letter to his colleagues in the Senate strongly encouraging Kagan’s rejection. Sessions’ letter is as follows:

  This is a must read! Newsweek’s George Will puts Barbabra Boxer’s extreme abortion views into proper context and folks… it’s really bad. Will refers to Boxer’s abortion stance as "slightly modified infanticide" and he’s completely correct.

   

  If, say, a 15-year-old girl is pregnant and wants to abort would you consider parents an intrusive mandate? You better believe Planned Parenthood sure does.

   

  Chicago – A man has been arrested for praying at an abortion clinic. The COPS are claiming he was arrested for blocking the entrance to the clinic. His lawyer says the charges are "false" and make no sense. And Planned Parenthood loves it.

   

  Despite the Obama administration’s hopes, a federal judge has refused to dismiss a Virgina challenge to Obamacare. The whole argument is based upon the interpretation and application of the Commerce Clause of the Constitution. If the court finds that the government has the power to force American’s to purchase Health Care there really will be no end to what can be forced to obtain…

• Senate Committee Seeks To Permanently Repeal Mexico City Policy

  Thomas Jefferson once said:

  To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

  Flash forward to 2009 and President Obama repealing the Mexico City Policy which bans federal money from being used to pay for or promote abortion overseas. The Gallup Poll reported that American’s did not take favorably to that idea:

• FDA Sanctions First Embryonic Stem-Cell Resreach

  We knew it was coming. Last week the FDA approved the first authorized study in the world on humans using embryonic stem cells. Did you catch that? Our nation, the one already famous for its reckless shedding of innocent blood, has now approved the use the cells of embryos (babies), to test drugs on other people.

   

  You can read all the news reports on any source, as it was reported from the New York Times to life-oriented blogs. But beyond reading it—do we get it? How do these things happen?

   

  It’s not hard to see the progression. As I have reported frequently lately, there is a vast industry of death surging through the veins of our nation. The history of fetal research runs rich and deep, thanks in part to regulations made during the Clinton administration. The Bush administration put some holds on these regulations, and it wasn’t until early 2009, after the inauguration of current-president Obama that we began to see the dam broken and the blood come rushing out again.
