Yesterday, the House voted 245 to 189 for an all-out repeal of the Health Care bill that was passed and signed into law last March. This was obviously a symbolic gesture at this point in light of the Democrat-controlled Senate, but it marked a decided turn in the legislature that delivers on the elections of November. The attention now turns to dicing up the existing bill.
What’s the first order of business for this Congress after the all-out repeal vote yesterday? ABORTION is the order of the day as H.R. 3 is introduced today- the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act."
Last week, President Obama called on all Americans to speak to one another “in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.” I welcome the president’s call for healing. We have a great need for this in America today.
I also welcome this call to healing, and the most pressing need is for those woman who have been duped into thinking abortion is a harmless thing. Their healing may take years of pain to reach.
