  • Ground up babies found in medicine

Posted by Susan Michelle on May 7, 2012

A shocking story today reminds us that when we allow and even encourage abortion, we open the door to darkness that even those who are pro-choice would shudder when they realize.

    Today’s Daily Mail reports:

Thousands of capsules filled with powdered human flesh have been discovered by customs officials in South Korea, it was revealed today. The are believed to have emanated from China and it looks as though the bodies of dead babies have been chopped into tiny pieces which were then dried in ovens before being pummelled into powder. The gruesome series of discoveries since last August has shocked even hardened customs agents who have pledged to strengthen inspections… Customs officials in South Korea have discovered thousands of capsules filled with powdered human flesh.”

Of course the obvious question is “why?” Why does anyone even desire pills made from dead babies? Sadly the answer comes from the industry of alternative medicine where, apparently, the pills in demand in China are being exported to South Korea as some medicinal cure-all.

While the use of controversial ingredients such as animal parts in medicines in the region isn’t unusual to the alternative medicine industry, with claims to cure a myriad  ailments. The story reports:

The Murdoch University team used DNA sequencing to work out what the plants and animal ingredients are. The Chinese have historically consumed human placentas to improve blood supply and circulation.

The South Korean Customs Service said today that it had heightened its searches of suspicious packages being brought into the country by travellers from China in an attempt to stamp out the sickening trade. According to customs agents, 35 smuggling attempts have been made since August last year involving more than 17,000 capsules disguised as ‘stamina boosters’.

And most stunning of all, the story says, “The human flesh capsules have been found to contain what they described as super-bacteria and other harmful ingredients.”

According to the story, Chinese newspapers have identified the origins of the human flesh as coming from the Jilin region in China, which is close to North Korea. It adds:

It is not known how the babies who ended up in the capsules died, but reports persist that parts of China still have ‘dying rooms’.

As the country has a one-child policy to stop the population from soaring, parents who have too many children can leave their babies in the rooms wrapped up to die.

Folks, if you’re horrified with this revelation, stop and ask why. We are a culture that has allowed babies to be killed at a whim, to be sucked out in an office, to be flushed out in a toilet. Medical recycling companies dispose of these parts. Why are we surprised that in a region where abortion is a forerunner for our own nation that we should see this?

The great tragedy here is that this is not shocking. It’s what happens when we open the door to darkness and death. Dead babies don’t vanish. Something has to become of them. Just as embryonic stem cell research is considered appropriate lab work, now we see the darker sides emanate. These so called stamina0-booster are babies. They are babies that were murdered mercilessly, innocent blood shed and given to an alternative medical industry to help people get “energy.”

Of course, real stamina comes when we stop killing our children and we dare to let babies live so we can embrace the generation we call invaluable. Stamina comes when we love like Jesus loves, even when it’s hard, when we embrace adoption and take those “unwanted” babies. When we become a culture that discards babies into the ground in the name of choice, why would this not be a natural progression?

This horrific story is a realization that babies don’t vanish when they are aborted. They are “recycled” for an industry of death that profits off the shedding of innocent blood.

We would do well to remember the words of the Lord in Ezekiel 22:13-16:

13 “Behold, therefore, I beat My fists at the dishonest profit which you have made, and at the bloodshed which has been in your midst. 14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands remain strong, in the days when I shall deal with you? I, the Lord, have spoken, and will do it. 15 I will scatter you among the nations, disperse you throughout the countries, and remove your filthiness completely from you. 16 You shall defile yourself in the sight of the nations; then you shall know that I am the Lord.”

May we do more than exclaim with horror at this story, but rise up as voices in the wilderness of death and cry out in our culture for LIFE. Ask the Lord, pray, stand for LIFE, adopt babies. And above all, pray for mercy.
