I often ask for prayer for the babies. I have asked many times for prayer for mothers to be saved, and receive life themselves. I have even asked for prayer for the fathers of babies scheduled to die. Today I am asking that you please pray with me for abortion industry workers. I am specifically asking that you pray for God to save and redeem employees of abortion centers and open their hearts to have compassion on the lives lost and on the families forever damaged by their preforming abortion.
Abby Johnson, author of UnPlanned is ex-abortion industry worker who has even suffered the extreme loss of two abortions. Having the foundation of an effective ministry which aids others who may be looking to flee from the bondage of jobs that take innocent lives, now Abby has launched a national call for those who have been hesitant to leave the abortion industry together with the promise of practical help. This day is Monday, April 8th, and it is called Day of Exodus 2013.
Moses was scheduled to die by the order of Pharaoh and the hands of midwives. Thousands are scheduled to die today by the order of the American government and the hands of abortionists. Today, babies are sentenced to certain, cruel death before they are even born. Moses’ mother hid him and Pharaoh’s daughter found him, but even though all of this happened, Pharaoh’s daughter could have easily murdered this “unwanted” “human weed” of a Hebrew baby and it would have been legal. There was something more than pure circumstance operating in this situation, something changed in Pharaoh’s daughter’s heart when she saw this sweet baby.
Exodus 2:6 [...] And she had compassion on him [...]
When Abby Johnson saw the baby on a sonogram that was sentenced to die, she had compassion. That compassion compelled her to walk out of that Planned Parenthood, join the sidewalk counselors and never looked back. When Pharaoh’s daughter saw baby Moses sentenced to die she had compassion. Compassion makes the life-giving difference.
Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
The word “compassion” in that verse even refers to “a womb cherishing a fetus.” God loves babies in the womb, and as His children in His image we are designed to have that same compassion and value for human life.
It is easy to be angry with the workers in the industry of death which we are fighting. It is easy to blame them for the wrong that they do daily and to not forgive them. It is vital that we remember our battle is not against flesh and blood. Not only is our battle not against the workers, our battle is for them. We are for the children and for their parents, and we are for these men and women bound in the system of death. We are for their freedom and everlasting life.
Please pray with me today, that on April 8, we will see a glorious exodus from the abortion industry. Please pray that God Himself will open the eyes of the workers to see the babies and have compassion on them.
I urge you today to look at these workers as unborn children of God who do not realize their need for Him yet and are blinded and deceived. Have compassion even on them and pray for them to find healing hope and exodus.
