Jessica Clark is one of our beloved authors on Moral Outcry. She is a champion for the cause of adoption and has a long history with her husband of standing for the pre-born. A recent repost of a news story regarding a public funeral for a victim of late-term abortion stirred a fury of comments. As usual most of the negative comments were based in a refusal of the story's truth. It's much easier to just look away simply say, "That can't be real."
That's not what bothered us. Underlying most of it was a more disturbing attitude toward babies with disabilities and abortion as a legitimate solution to that "problem." Our culture is one of convenience and the life-long pursuit of ease and having more stuff. We've made it admirable by disquising it in patriotic language like the "American Dream," but seldom does it leave an opening for what these four mothers have to say.
