• April 02, 2010 05:06 PMThe blood that He shed has made a way for us! He is both our Passover Lamb and the Sacrifice of Atonement. Two Jewish holy days came together in Jesus. The Passover celebrates the deliverance of the Hebrews from the bondage of slavery in Egypt. The Day of Atonement was set up for the high priests to present blood for the sins of the people. Jesus presented his own perfect blood in the heavenly tabernacle as our Great High Priest.

• March 05, 2010 04:24 PMI love studying history. A favorite of American history for me is the battle of Gettysburg during the Civil War. I have found a lot of inspiration and courage as an intercessor by studying the dynamics of Little Round Top and the choices of Joshua Chamberlain on day two of the three-day battle. It's all about watchfulness, selflessness, valor and commitment. "Hold the ground at all hazards!"was Chamberlain's charge. He was the extreme left flank and the only thing that prevented the Union army from being routed at a critical moment. He and his men, the 20th of Maine, held the position defending the hill even when they ran out of ammunition.

• March 04, 2010 06:27 PMThis morning I was discussing the current state of the Health Care Bill with Lou Engle and how the abortion issue is taking over all the headlines today. You can sense that lawmakers are unnerved by how the abortion issue demands to be dealt with right now. One commentator made it vivid and clear saying you can't split the baby -- you either win or you lose on this. As Lou and I were discussing these things we began to ponder a recent dream given to us by a trusted prophet intercessor. A key piece of the puzzle suddenly became clear, and we were compelled to broadcast an urgent call to prayer.

The Road to Houston- As Seen on TV
• January 25, 2010 05:14 PMBound4LIFE gave away FREE OF CHARGE more than 8,000 Life Bands on Sunday night, January 17th.
We officially had 4,200 people praying silently with LIFE tape around Planned Parenthood on Monday, January 18th!
This marks the single largest Silent Siege that has ever happened...anywhere.
At the same time there were an estimated 10,000 additional people across the highway participating in the rally and Silent March.

Recently, I sent an E-Blast with Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Council, calling the nation to join an urgent national webcast prayer convocation to ask God to restrain federally funded abortion in the health care system. On that E-Blast I wrote:
On Friday, December 4th, I was awakened early in the morning with a burden to pray, as I considered the consequences of abortion being mainstreamed into the national health care system if the senate health care bill is passed as it is right now.
I turned to 1 Chronicles 21 where the destroying angel had come to the threshing floor of Ornan. God, in his heart of mercy, restrained the angel of death, saying, “Enough! Restrain your hand.” The angel of death still hovered between heaven and earth with its sword drawn. Even with God’s restraint, the verdict was still in the balance as to whether or not the death march would continue. An earth being, namely David, had to agree with God’s restraint through repentance, paying the full price, and offering up the atoning blood. When David went up to the threshing floor in repentance and erected the altar and offered the sacrifice, God heeded the prayers and the angel of death sheathed its sword. -

We all heard the President say in the last week that he would be open to passing a bill that doesn't include it. But that might be changing. One wonders what special interest pressures are being exerted behind the scenes. Media outlets are now pondering if the President has been rolled on it again.

Abortion Is Not Healthcare
• July 28, 2009 12:29 PMMy team and I have been "prayer walking" the House office buildings in the morning this week. First thing today it was reported from House Majority Leader Hoyer and Speaker Pelosi that it had been decided to postpone a vote on the current Health Care Bill until after Labor Day. This comes as a specific answer to prayer to slow this process down. I feel as though our prayers have been sand in the gears for what seemed impossible to stop not many days ago.
