I have just discovered a woman by the name of Bianca Laureano. According to this article on Lifesitenews.com, Bianca Laureano is “an adjunct professor at the Sisters of Charity-founded College of Mount Saint Vincent, [and] is a regular contributor at RHRealityCheck.com and creator of the explicit “sex positive” site LatinoSexuality.com.” My intention for this blog is not to bash Ms. Laureano, but to take issue with some of the licentious points of view that are made in her blogs.
One of the blogs that was written is called What Women Deserve. After watching and listening to the poem that was recited by Sonya Renee Taylor, I couldn’t help but feel like I had been vomited on with the nastiest tirade I have ever witnessed. So much anger and my heart could do nothing but break. To an extent, I understand the frustration that women, especially women of color, are feeling. I am the only granddaughter on my mother’s side of the family that has not had a child out of wedlock. I see the hardships that my beautiful cousins face when money is running low and “baby daddy’s” aren’t stepping up to the plate. But what I admire about them is that through it all, the ups and downs, they have chosen LIFE. They haven’t taken the seemingly easy road and done away with the child God placed inside of their wombs. They have chosen to have these children and love them the best they know how.
