Last night the House voted to pass the bi-patisan HB358, the Protect Life Act, by a vote of 251-172 with 10 Reps not voting. Among the Ayes were 236 Republicans and 15 Democrats. Among the Noes were 170 Democrats and 2 Republicans. See how your Rep voted here.
I sat in the gallery and prayed yesterday during much of the debate. Back and forth and back and forth Rep after Rep repeated the same statements again and again. One side adamantly claiming that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 allows through creative bookkeeping a path for tax dollars to fund abortions regardless of a taxpayer's personal convictions. The other side adamantly claiming that it does not. You can read more on those specifics here.
