Arrangement by Daniel and Autumn Katz

For the last three and a half years we have been singing “Nothing But The Blood” as a prayer. We were both a part of the pioneering team that planted Bound4LIFE in 2004, and memories of that first day still remain. This song spontaneously erupted at the end of our first gathering while we were on the steps of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. The spirit of the Lord has breathed on this song once again as if to say to us “Nothing but the blood of Jesus can save you from the bloodguilt of 50 million babies.” As we sing this song let’s make it an anthem and plead the blood of Jesus over the door posts of the nation. We need the blood of Jesus that speaks louder than any other blood that has been shed.

We shifted the old hymn to a minor key because we feel it helps us engage in prayer. The minor key opens a different door than the major key has in the past. We believe there is a new sound for this song that the Lord wants to release. We want to encourage worship leaders to please take the chord charts and use this song to engage the Body of Christ in intercession. It could be the key that opens the door for His mercy to come to us once again.
